This blog
was created in June 2026 by Dennis Tan Eng Soon, eldest son of the late Tan Kim
Suan to commemorate the life and legacy of Tan Piah Eng. Kim Suan is the eldest
son of Piah Eng with his wife Mdm Chan Ah Siew. (The ‘Eng’ in Eng Soon was named
after the ‘Eng’ in Piah Eng, while the ‘Soon’ is from my maternal grandfather).
